I stopped by here with a group of four for a late lunch on a Monday afternoon and this is one of the best Vietnamese places I've been to. Between the four of us, we shared an order of the banh beo and DIY nem nuong rolls, amongst a few other individual dishes.
The DIY nem nuong rolls were definitely the highlight of my meal. I love the giant platter of fresh veggies brought to the table for the rolls and there were more than enough rice paper for everyone to make four or five rolls. The meat is flavorful and tender, and the sauce is like a better version of sweet chili sauce. The fried wonton wrappers add a great crunch to the roll.
If you're a fan of the rolls at Brodards, you owe it to yourself to make a stop here at Summer Rolls.
Pricier side but the interior decorations is super well done. Customer service is generally ok to decent. I did have an employee sneer at me before, not sure why, though it has generally been a positive experience here. maybe it was just them and just once. thankful they exist and serve the asian neighborhood and communities in the area.

My favorite Vietnamese restaurant. The must try's are the pork springs rolls, lemon grass chicken spring rolls, bahn mi, and bun bo hue. Service can be slow but the food makes up for it and keeps me coming back.

Summer Roll! A name that speaks for itself for excellent Vietnamese Summer Rolls! Virtually ALL their rolls are great here. Our favorites are the beef and the raw nam (beef) rows. Yum!
In addition, their Banh Xeo (A Vietnamese Crepe, Bánh xèo is a crispy, stuffed rice pancake popular in Vietnam. The name refers to the sound a thin layer of rice batter makes when it is poured into the hot skillet. It is a savoury fried pancake made of rice flour, water, and turmeric powder) is EXCELLENT! It is one of the best I've ever had, very authentic and tasty and is a MUST ORDER!
The restaurant is nice and clean with ample parking in the rear. Service is fast and efficient and they do not miss a beat in bring out water or the dishes... very fast, friendly and efficient.
Finally, you'll also see bags of Nem Chua (a raw cured sausage that is tangy, salty, and loaded with the funky, spicy, and fragrant flavors of garlic, chiles, and black peppercorns) for sale by the register. They are about $1 per piece and are super YUM! I usually pick up a few bags of myself and friends when I'm in SoCal... eat some, give some, freeze some! :)
